V for Vendetta

V for Vendetta

Revenge is the name of the game. Some believe that revenge is a dish best served cold. This film, however, tends to show a different view. Natalie Portman stars in this movie, which centers around one man’s attempt to get back at a system where torture and corruption are commonplace. In a post 9/11 era, some of the philosophies, that are repeated throughout the movie, seems to push the envelope. It has an undertone that makes light of the value of human life in order to get a point across. If you can get past some of the ideologies, you may actually enjoy the film. I wish I could say that I did. It won’t win any Oscars, but the some of the special effects makes it worth seeing.
